Enter the race

The event will sell out, so enter early to avoid disappointment! 

The race entry limit for the Abingdon Marathon is 1,500. Entries will close early if we reach that number.

Entry fee

The marathon is £56 for affiliated club runners and £58 for all other entrants. Open to entrants aged 18 and over on 20/10/2024. Our entries are powered by eventrac.

Entry confirmation

You will receive a confirmation email when you submit your online entry. An updated list of entrants will be posted on the website monthly. Check your details, and contact us if anything is incorrect.

Race pack and timing chip

We send out race packs at the beginning of October. We’ll post on our website to confirm the dispatch. Please contact us if your race pack fails to arrive after one week. Include your name and allocated race number in the email.

If you enter after we send out the race packs, you can pick up your race number at the Information Desk at Tilsley Park on race day.

Please note that by entering this race, you agree to accept the terms and conditions set out on this website and the eventrac race entry page.

You also consent to the storing, sharing (with the race organisers and official third-party suppliers) and use of your contact details (email address, telephone number, mobile number and postal address) provided on this entry form for the purposes of delivering all services associated with this year’s Abingdon Marathon, including, but not limited to, publishing your race entry and results data on the website.

Oxfordshire County Marathon Championships

Read the Oxfordshire qualification requirements to ensure you qualify for entry into the Oxfordshire Marathon Championships. Oxfordshire Athletics will contact all entrants for the Oxfordshire Marathon Championships to confirm their entry.

Deferral and refund policy

We do not operate a deferral policy. However, if you took out the refund protection insurance policy when you entered the race, you may be able to claim on this (subject to the policy terms and conditions).

The standard race policy is that no refunds will be issued. However, we do have a pregnancy deferral/refund policy.

Transfers

Transferring your race number to another runner is possible once the race is full. There are two ways to transfer your race entry. The transfer window will close a week before race day.

1. If you have found someone who wants your place, contact us. We’ll need your name and race number and the name and email address of the person taking your number.

2. If you don’t have anyone to pass the number on to, contact us with your name and race number. We will offer your place to someone on the waiting list. We’ll send an entry form to the person taking the race number. Once they complete and return the form, we’ll accept the transfer. You will have to sort out reimbursement of the entry fee between yourselves.
